Mason went into surgery this morning but did not have any skin grafting. Instead, they did a lot of debridement (removal of dead skin) while he was out because it is so painful for him. He has been sleeping since the surgery, and woke up once asking for pain medication. I think he will probably be in a lot of pain today after the surgery, but I think the medication should help a lot. The doctor said that the skin grafts are postponed indefinitely, and that he may not need them at all. The earliest he could be discharged from the hospital is Monday. (I hope so!!!!!)
Specific prayer requests for Mason:
- speedy healing of his burns
- not need any skin grafting
- good pain control and be able to go off morphine soon so that he can be dischaged by Monday
