I will not try to describe the funeral. I will save that for better wordsmiths. But, be sure to see the new link in the News links section. It is to a news article on the funeral.
Below is a copy of the program of the funeral.

Dear Refuge Of My Weary Soul by Anne Steele
(Hannah sings)
Dear refuge of my weary soul,
On Thee, when sorrows rise
On Thee, when waves of trouble roll,
My fainting hope relies
To Thee I tell each rising grief,
For Thou alone canst heal
Thy Word can bring a sweet relief,
For every pain I feel
(Everyone sings)
But oh! When gloomy doubts prevail,
I fear to call Thee mine
The springs of comfort seem to fail,
And all my hopes decline
Yet gracious God, where shall I flee?
Thou art my only trust
And still my soul would cleave to Thee
Though prostrate in the dust
Hast Thou not bid me seek Thy face,
And shall I seek in vain?
And can the ear of sovereign grace,
Be deaf when I complain?
No still the ear of sovereign grace,
Attends the mourner’s prayer
Oh may I ever find access,
To breathe my sorrows there
Thy mercy seat is open still,
Here let my soul retreat
With humble hope attend Thy will,
And wait beneath Thy feet,
Thy mercy seat is open still,
Here let my soul retreat
With humble hope attend Thy will,
And wait beneath Thy feet

1 Chronicles 12:1-2, 8, 14-15
These were the men who came to David at
Ziklag, while he was banished from the presence
of Saul son of Kish (they were among the
warriors who helped him in battle; they were
armed with bows and were able to shoot arrows
or to sling stones right-handed or left-handed;
they were kinsmen of Saul from the tribe of
Benjamin):
Some Gadites defected to David at his
stronghold in the desert. They were brave
warriors, ready for battle and able to handle the
shield and spear. Their faces were the faces of
lions, and they were as swift as
gazelles in the mountains.
These Gadites were army commanders; the least
was a match for a hundred, and the greatest for a
thousand. It was they who crossed the Jordan in
the first month when it was overflowing all its
banks, and they put to flight everyone living in
the valleys, to the east and to the west.

Daniel 1:3-4a
Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his
court officials, to bring in some of the Israelites
from the royal family and the nobility-- young
men without any physical defect, handsome,
showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well
informed, quick to understand, and qualified to
serve in the king's palace.

Romans 6:3-11
Or don't you know that all of us who were
baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his
death? We were therefore buried with him
through baptism into death in order that, just as
Christ was raised from the dead through the
glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
If we have been united with him like this in his
death, we will certainly also be united with him
in his resurrection. For we know that our old self
was crucified with him so that the body of sin
might be done away with, that we should no
longer be slaves to sin--because anyone who has
died has been freed from sin.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we
will also live with him. For we know that since
Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die
again; death no longer has mastery over him.
The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but
the life he lives, he lives to God.
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin
but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Revelation 12:10-12
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
Now have come the salvation and the power and
the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Christ.
For the accuser of our brothers,
who accuses them before our God day and
night,
has been hurled down.
They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.
Therefore rejoice, you heavens
and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury,
because he knows that his time is short."

Revelation 21:1-5
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for
the first heaven and the first earth had passed
away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the
Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out
of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully
dressed for her husband. And I heard a
loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the
dwelling of God is with men, and he will live
with them. They will be his people, and God
himself will be with them and be their God. He
will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will
be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away."

In the Secret (Words & Music by Andy Park
©1995)
In the secret, in the quiet place,
In the stillness You are there.
In the secret, in the quiet hour I wait, only for
You
‘Cause I want to know You more.
Chorus
I want to know You. I want to hear Your voice.
I want to know You more.
I want to touch You. I want to see Your face.
I want to know You more.
I am reaching, for the highest goal,
That I might receive the prize,
Pressing onward, pushing every hindrance aside,
Out of my way ‘cause I want to know You more.
I’ll Fly Away (By Albert Brumley)
Some bright morning when this life is o'er I’ll fly
away
To a home on God's celestial shore I’ll fly away
Chorus
I’ll fly away oh glory I’ll fly away
When I die Hallelujah by and by I’ll fly away
When the shadows of this life have gone I’ll fly
away
Like a bird from prison walls has flown I’ll fly
away
Chorus
Oh how glad and happy when we meet I’ll fly
away
No more cold iron shackles on my feet I’ll fly
away
Chorus
Just a few more weary days and then I’ll fly
away
To a land where joys will never end I’ll fly away

1 Cor 15:43-58 (NLT)
Our bodies now disappoint us, but when they are
raised, they will be full of glory. They are weak now,
but when they are raised, they will be full of power.
They are natural human bodies now, but when they are
raised, they will be spiritual bodies. For just as there
are natural bodies, so also there are spiritual bodies.
The Scriptures tell us, "The first man, Adam, became a
living person." But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a
life-giving Spirit. What came first was the natural
body, then the spiritual body comes later. Adam, the
first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while
Christ, the second man, came from heaven. Every
human being has an earthly body just like Adam's, but
our heavenly bodies will be just like Christ's. Just as
we are now like Adam, the man of the earth, so we will
someday be like Christ, the man from heaven.
What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that
flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.
These perishable bodies of ours are not able to live
forever.
But let me tell you a wonderful secret God has revealed
to us. Not all of us will die, but we will all be
transformed. It will happen in a moment, in the
blinking of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For
when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died
will be raised with transformed bodies. And then we
who are living will be transformed so that we will
never die. For our perishable earthly bodies must be
transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die.
When this happens—when our perishable earthly
bodies have been transformed into heavenly bodies
that will never die—then at last the Scriptures will
come true:
"Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory? O death,
where is your sting?"
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law
gives sin its power. How we thank God, who gives us
victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our
Lord!
So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and steady,
always enthusiastic about the Lord's work, for you
know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
